Internal Communications use UDP sockets on loopback interface

Internal communications refers to the communications between the MIHF and local SAPs (MIH-users and Link SAPs). ODTONE uses UDP sockets binded to the loopback interface (127.0.0.1) for exchanging messages between these entities.
