Construction MVP Description

Context

With the architecture and requirements clarified during the Elaboration phase, the Construction MVP (Minimum Viable Product) phase focuses on building and validating the core system functionality. This milestone represents the transition from planning and design to actual implementation, where theoretical concepts are transformed into working software.

Our team concentrates on implementing the essential features needed to demonstrate the system's value proposition: real-time vehicle monitoring, event detection, and driver alerting capabilities.

Goals

The main objectives of the Construction MVP phase are:

  1. Develop Core Event Detection System

    • Implement real-time GPS data processing
    • Build speed violation detection algorithms
    • Create overtaking detection mechanisms
  2. Establish System Infrastructure

    • Deploy Eclipse Ditto for digital twin management
    • Configure Eclipse Hono for IoT device connectivity
    • Set up MQTT broker for real-time messaging
    • Implement microservices architecture
  3. Validate Through Simulation

    • Create realistic vehicle movement simulations
    • Test detection algorithms with controlled scenarios
    • Verify system performance and accuracy
  4. Prepare Foundation for Production

    • Design scalable architecture patterns
    • Implement proper error handling and logging
    • Establish deployment procedures

Expected Outcomes

By the end of the Construction MVP phase, the project delivers:
